Secretary General of Eurasian Economic Community went on a trip to Russian-Kazakh border regions

Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EURASEC) Grigory Rapota left on Monday for Russian-Kazakh border regions.

He will visit Chelyabinsk, Kustanai, Petropavlovsk and Omsk and is expected to meet governors of the Chelyabinsk and Omsk regions, and head of the North Caucasian region.

The programme of the trip, which will last till the end of the week, stipulates a visit to the Troitsk border station, several industrial and agricultural enterprises of Russia and Kazakhstan. Taking part in the trip will be representatives of the top leaders of a number of Russian and Kazakh agencies and members of the EURASEC Business Council association.

They are going to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the present state of the Russian-Kazakh border cooperation, reveal what hampers such cooperation and map out prospects for further developing economic partnership.

As a result of the trip some urgent issues will be revealed related to the development of partner collaboration not only in the Russian and Kazakh real economic sectors but also to enterprises situated on the territories of other countries of the Community.

The EURASEC includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Moldova and Ukraine have the observer status in the Community.
