President Of Moldova Vladimir Voronin Said The Republic Does Not Plan To Join NATO

President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin said at a press conference in Moscow that the republic does not plan to join NATO so far. At the same time, the head of Moldova believes that NATO should be modified with due account taken of new realities. According to him, NATO should be restructured since the realities changed since the time the cold war ended. Voronin also pointed out that his country is a member of many international organisations and it wants to participate in the integration processes taking place in Europe. He also added that the documents for joining the European Union are now being prepared.
