Situation Around Afghanistan In Focus At A Session Of Collective Security Treaty Members

The situation around Afghanistan and in the entire region will become central at an on-going session in Moscow of the foreign ministerial council of countries-members of the Collective Security Treaty. This was said by its acting chairman and Armenia's Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, opening up the session. He said that the struggle against international terrorism has become Number One question in the world. All together and individually, member-states of the Collective Security Treaty have showed their approach to the issue, which is formulated in a joint statement. The present meeting is to become a step towards further integration within the Treaty and its inclusion in the system of international security. Another important question at the on-going session in Moscow will be coordination of the foreign policies of the Treaty's member-states -- Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia and Tajikistan.
