Russian, Ukrainian Prime Ministers To Hold Meeting Of Intergovernmental Commission

Russian and Ukrainian Prime Ministers Mikhail Kasyanov and Anatoly Kinakh will hold a meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission on scientific and technical, trade and economic and cultural cooperation in some days, Anatoly Kinakh said at the meeting with Mikhail Kasyanov on Thursday. This meeting of the commission will be the first after a break of 2.5 years. According to Kinakh, Russia and Ukraine have been showing to the world a high level of bilateral cooperation. Anatoly Kinakh stressed that 2001 is distinguished by the opening of the Year of Ukraine in Russia. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Leonid Kuchma are expected to attend these events, he said. Mikhail Kasyanov and Anatoly Kinakh are expected to discuss several issues of cooperation on Thursday. According to Kasyanov, they will focus on the implementation of projects in gas, trade and cultural spheres.
