Vilnius Television To Begin Rebroadcasting Russian Rtr Tv Channel Programs

. As deputy director of the Vilnius television Leonas Remeika said, under an agreement reached with Russian colleagues, the Vilnius television will daily rebroadcast 8 hours of the programs of the Russian leading television channel. Until now the Vilnius television regularly rebroadcast programs of TV-6 channel. However, the Vilnius television is not satisfied with the terms of that channel (to rebroadcast not more than 2 hours a day), and also with the prices. Apart from re-broadcasting the most popular programs of the RTR channel, the Vilnius television intends to purchase separately feature films from the Russian TV channel. Residents of the Lithuanian capital and the country's eastern districts, where a considerable part of the Russian-speaking population lives, watch the Vilnius television.
