John McCain determined to ship arms to Ukraine. Carter does not mind

 

John McCain, the head of the Committee for the Armed Forces, initiated hearings at the US Senate about the issue of US military aid to Kiev. US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter said that such options were still pending, although the final decision had not been made, Pravda.Ru reports with reference to RIA Novosti.

John McCain asked the minister whether he was ready to support and arm Ukraine. Carter replied positively.

On June 18, the US Congress approved a bill to give Ukraine military aid worth $300 million, the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty reports. According to the report, Ukraine will receive radar stations, anti-tank weapons and other military assistance.
