George Person: Bush should follow Saddam into the dock RESPONSE

I suppose a man can only be charged with murder if its his intention to murder...

But if its his intention is to liberate an enslaved nation, then certainly the weight of his crimes are mitigated, perhaps even exonerated in the light of the surrounding circumstances...

President Bush, as Governor of Texas, wasn't going to interfere with the judicial process.

This process entails a legacy of police reports, trial level activity, appellate court activity, and Supreme court activity long before it got to Gov. Bush's desk, on whether or not to spare a fellow from the gallows.....Was Gov. Bush supposed to overthrow every capital punishment case which crossed his desk?! I'm not a supporter of capital punishment. If people don't like it, then they've got to elect people into public office who don't like it too, and change the laws on the books....

The politics of the Middle-East has been a twisted tale of hypocrisy....

Supporting Iraq when they were gassing Iran on the battlefield, then attacking Iraq for bullying little Kuwait and stealing their oil...I guess the thread of sanity is, as long as
America's interests were being upheld, then you are ok...which is something Saddam should've been smart enough to figure out....he had enough cash to use $100 bills as toilet paper for the whole royal family for the next 10,000 years...I think his stupidity and greed got the best of him...

When it came to the UN, the USA gave them plenty of opportunity to get in...but if Europe was going to be scared of a massive terrorist retaliation, then one nation with courage became the majority...and all the other nations of the world would have to sit on the sidelines while the real players of peace went out to make a difference in this world...

When it comes to the pain and suffering of Iraqi freedom's difficult childbirth, we lament the loss and suffering of innocent life...but all people of the world should keep a close eye on their leadership of their elected government. Because when change comes, it's the common man who pays the price, thus, it's time to be much more than just a taxpayer, and learn to speak out through the power of the vote, so innocent people don't pay for the policies of an unjust government...

At this point, nobody from the Arab world has got on TV to complain about the collateral damage Iraq suffered, liberating these people from Sarin Saddam...Iran is even putting a claim in to Iraqi courts, that Saddam waged a war of aggression , using chemical weapons on its armies...

President Bush is an honorable man...and will turn the country fully over to its new government....Will the Middle-East catch the spirit of freedom?! I think they will. Most men want to have a political identity and a voice in this world, and I think now that Saddam's statues have been knocked down, the country of Iraq can start developing a normal personality, which recognizes its power comes from the people as they lead a nation to justice and prosperity......
