I am living in the USA and I am a single father with a daughter living at home and is at high school. I recently wrote a letter to President Putin via email. Whether he will ever get it or not I do not know. In the letter I beg him to let me come to Russia to live with my daughter. I want her to go to a school over there so she can get a true education. I want us to leave here because I am afraid for us in this country, the whole world hates us.
I bet this sounds crazy, but I am so sure that this is the right thing to do. I am so ashamed to be called an American because of what this country has done to the rest of the world. I am ashamed of what this country does to anyone that has natural rescues that the US wants. I am ashamed of this country because it let 800,000 Rwanda people die because
the country had no natural resources. I am ashamed of the way that American corporations have begun to abuse the peoples of other countries as slave laborers to increase their stock values. I am ashamed that even though there are hundreds of books written about the governments America
has overthrown to suit its "national security interests", American people do not seem to care. I am ashamed of this country because no matter what the words from government say, Iraq was and is a war about oil and America wants it. Let’s face it, the truth is, without a constant flow of oil, nothing in America will work, Nothing. Any person with a brain can see that. Bush told Americans that to help after 9-11 what we needed to do was go shopping. It is so painfully obvious that America is heading towards worldwide hegemony simply to assure its existence. Most of America has no idea what is going on in the world because the US government, the one that is going around the world pushing "freedom" and "democracy" on the rest of the world, censors all of our news and media reports. The painful truth I am most ashamed of, is that until not many years ago, I was also blind to the result of our lifestyle on the rest of the world. I would be willing to bet that our government will come up with a reason to "liberate" Iran soon for their oil as well.
Bush has stated many times that America was taking "democracy" to the people of Iraq. I must tell you, in my opinion, democracy is a bad joke and the "American Dream" is truly a nightmare. Freedom? Ha! In America there is no real freedom. If you have nothing you will go nowhere. No medical help for those that need it without paying large amounts of
money. Most Americans do not realize that we are slaves in a way. Our value as citizens is directly related to our consumer spending levels not on our abilities. There is no such thing as land ownership really, in the sense that there are taxes on it all the time and if you miss a tax payment you will loose your land. There is no such thing as "democracy" in the sense that although we get to vote, the system is so rigged that it is almost pointless to vote. I am ashamed to be here in the most hated country in the world and I want out. Our lives will be so
much more enhanced by getting out of here. We won't have to live here with blinders on.
Deep inside I bet that I am not the only one that feels this way. I read everyday about people around the world that wants to live in peace.
I want to be with people that are focused on creating a world that is sustainable not in America the land of the greed and the home of the cooperate liars. If it turns out that it is possible, I will be a huge voice for people to stop being irresponsible with the planet and get started on creating a better world that is not based on stock values but on people values.
I have no idea where this will go. It is even possible that I will be arrested and thrown in jail for trying to get out of here. If any of my friends knew of my desire to denounce my citizenship I would be shunned.
And for their blindness to what our lives have done to others I am also ashamed.
War negates human nature and societal peace and harmony. H.G. Wells manifested the declaration of human rights in 1939 and wondered "What are we Fighting for?"
