A Norwegian delegation is about to set off for Salekhard on the Yamal peninsular to discuss ways of working more closely with the region in the oil and gas sphere. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed at the regional governor's press office, the Norwegian delegation will be visiting the capital of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District from April 4-7 and will be led by Norwegian Ambassador to Russia Oivind Nordsletten.
The delegation's programme includes a meeting with Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Yuri Neyolov and representatives of the local administration as well as business circles interested in establishing ties with Norwegian partners. Mr Nordsletten intends to visit the regional information centre for geology, geophysics and hunting and fishingT. his centre, which is the first of its kind in Russia, contains information on nature management and oil extraction.
