Russian Transport Minister Sergei Frank and Afghani Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Mirwais Sadeq discussed their countries' transport co-operation at talks in Moscow. It is the first visit by the Afghani Civil Aviation Minister to Russia after the power in Kabul was given to the transitional administration in December 2000.

The talks focused on developing co-operation in transport aviation, the Afghani Embassy to Moscow informed RIA Novosti. Thus, the parties discussed the draft of a corresponding bilateral agreement prepared by the countries' experts and the resumption of aircraft flights from Moscow to Kabul.
