Russians Buy More Foreign Cars

About 170,000 new foreign cars were sold in Russia in 2003 vs. the 117,000 cars sold a year before
Toyota Motor Corporation increased the sales three times in Russia in 2003 (26,472 autos), Ford Motor Company also increased the sales three times to 20,712 cars and UzDaewooAuto, the Izbek-Korean joint venture sold 20,255 cars in Russia which is 1.6 times more than in 2002.

Meanwhile, the sale of Germany's Volkswagen reduced by 7 per cent to 7,408 cars. ITAR-TASS reports that according to data provided by ASM-Holding, about 170,000 new foreign cars were sold in Russia in 2003 vs. the 117,000 cars sold a year before.

More than 5.8 million people voted for Nicholas Maduro at the presidential election in Venezuela. This is more than a quarter of registered voters. Why did those people vote for the man, who, as Western media write, took Venezuela to the brink of collapse?
