The European Union has allocated 3 million euros on the implementation of the project "State Budget Reform" in Russia as part of the TACIS programme on technical assistance, said the representation of the European Commission in Russia.

The aim of the project, which is to be implemented within two years, is to render technical assistance to Russia on the creation of "a transparent and effective federal budget system", the European Commission noted.

The Russian Finance Ministry will be a partner in the project implementation. The contract on the project implementation was concluded with the West European consortium, headed by ECORYS company (the Netherlands). The consortium also includes Bannock Consulting (Great Britain) and SOFRECO (France).
