"Luckily, the dope was found when the sportsmen were in Russia. This is our country’s domestic matter, but the sportsmen will be punished, they will not take in major competitions, both in Russia and abroad", said Mr. Loginov. He did not reveal the names of the sportsmen who were allegedly took dope, and explained this by the fact that the results for the dope test B had not been received yet.

Some Russian media wrote that these 3 sportsmen were 2 weight-lifters and 1 track and field athlete. The bulk of the Russian Olympic team headed by Chairman of Russian Olympic Committee, is already in Athens.
