A group of Ukrainian deputies headed by the opposition leaders Julia Timoshenko, Alexander Moroz and Pyotr Simonenko came to the studio of the Ukrainian national television at 8:45 p.m., right before the final news program on September 23. The deputies asked for ten minutes on the live television. As a result, the final news program failed to be aired.
Later, people supporting the opposition besieged the studio and the deputies started negotiations with director of the TV company on allowance of the opposition leaders to go on the air. Several deputies informed by mobile phones that police was rather tolerant, only insisted that the deputies should leave the studio and referred to the criminal code articles on responsibility for capture of telecommunications.
