Russians Thrilled With Jolie, Disappointed With Her Salt

US Actress Angelina Jolie had quite an adventure in Moscow during her one-day visit to the Russian capital. Jolie arrived in Moscow to promote her latest action film - "Salt." One her sons, Pax Thien, aged 7, went out of her sight for about 30 minutes. The boy went to take a walk on Manezhnaya Square near the Kremlin at the time when his mother was getting ready for the red carpet premiere of the action film about Russian spies.

The actress's assistants accompanied the boy during the walk, but Jolie had not been notified of that on time. The boy made his bodyguards drop by almost a dozen of souvenir shops before he finally found what he wanted - Russian nesting dolls, or matryoshkas, and wooden boxes decorated with ornaments or all colors.

It took the boy a lot of time to choose the souvenirs. As a result, the kid bought several dolls and boxes.

The premiere of Jolie's latest film, "Salt," took place in Moscow's October Movie Theater on July 25. The motion picture will hit all cinemas across Russia on July 29.

As a result, the film opened to high expectations both in the States and in Russia.

Angelina Jolie arrived in Moscow with her four sons. The actress has six children; she adopted three of them from other counties.

Over 2,000 Russian fans came to take a glimpse of one of the world's most beautiful women in the world at night of July 25. The actress appeared on the red carpet near October Movie Theater without delays. The 35-year-old mother of six was wearing a beautiful red gown for the Moscow premiere.

She spent outside about 40 minutes, giving autographs and posing for cameras despite sweltering heat. One of her fans said that it was very professional of the actress to spend such a long period of time with her fans, because she managed to pay attention to nearly everyone. "Dobry vecher," the actress addressed the audience as she appeared on stage. The phrase translates into English as "Good evening."

She continued her speech in English saying that it is her first premiere in Moscow and that the first screening of the film in Moscow was very important to her.

Film critics and spectators said later that the plot of the film was hard to understand. Only a few people in the audience applauded after the film ended.
