The Museum of Art in the Altay region organizes the Body Exotic action
The Altay regional Museum of Art started the Body Exotic action in the city of Barnaul today. Main objective of the organizers of the action is to make up a deficit of information about body art and tattoo; they want to demonstrate the artistic aspect of tattoo and body-art.
A special exhibition was opened to demonstrate not only works by contemporary young artists but also the history of tattoo development. Tattoo and body-art masters will work in the museum in the framework of the action.
The organizers of the action say that it was started with a view to give more knowledge to so-called problem teenagers. Unfortunately, this category of young people knows nothing about tattoo from an artistic point of view. A special program was developed for such problem teenagers with a view to tell them about the history of body-art, to show films about tattoos. What is especially important, doctors from the Altay AIDS center will consult teenagers about safety measures that must be taken while making tattoos.
