By 2030, Russia will take a half of Arctic oil. The World Petroleum Council said that oil production will increase to more than 2 million barrels per day in 15 years.
All countries working on the Arctic shelf will be increasing oil output. Norway, Canada and the US will also increase production, although their volumes will not reach the level of one million barrels per day.
According to the World Petroleum Council, Russia's main regions of Arctic oil production in 15 years will be the shelf of Sakhalin, Barents and Pechora Sea, as well as the Gulf of Ob and the Kara Sea shelf.
