Kosovo did not manage to enter UNESCO. Partially recognized state did not gain 3 additional votes for the needed threshold. One should not possess a universally recognized status of a sovereign country to become a member of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. However, only 93 participants have agreed in Paris today to adopt a new candidate. As we reported, Serbia strongly objected such initiatives of Kosovo. 'Politics, and especially rude genocide of the 90s, which was provoked by some countries of the West as well, led to the breakup of the former Yugoslavia into five states.
