The first advertising poster in history of North Korea appears on the streets. The huge poster erected at the end of a car bridge in Pyongyang features an automobile and a slogan saying: "To the new world, uniting the people's powers!"
Slightly below that there is logotype, a stylized picture of two flying pigeons, and an advertisement text: "Hviparam". A peaceful car"
"Hviparam" ("wind whistling") brand cars are produced in North Korea. Annually, about 10,000 of them sold. An average price for them revolves around USD8,000. An ordinary citizen of the country still cannot afford this automobile. Private cars are very rare in Pyongyang streets, so this advertising targets local corporate clients first of all, thinks ITAR-TASS.
The first advertisement poster is yet another proof of liberalisation of the economics, which has been happening in the country for a while now. The "Peaceful car" appeared in a republic that from the day of its formation has traditionally favoured military power development and army support.
