The last twelve months sent Russian consumer prices 14.8% up, says the State Statistics Committee. The highest rises for foodstuffs are reported with granulated sugar, 38.2%, cereals and legumes, 34.6%, and fruit and vegetables, 33.1%. Petrol leads non-foodstuff rises, with 40.8%.
