Russian population to shrink by fifth in next 50 years - Comments

The population of Russia is likely to fall by 18% over the next half a century, according to the Population Reference Bureau. Researchers believe that by 2050 the population will have fallen from its current level of 145.5 million to 119 million. They also predict that India will become the most populous country in the world, with 1.628 billion inhabitants, followed by China with 1.394 billion.
