The Arab, detained in Georgia's Pankisi Gorge, has been transferred to Tbilisi.
The ethnic Arab was arrested by Georgian security service officers early on August 30th during an anti-criminal operation in the Pankisi Gorge on suspicion of associating with international terrorists. The arrestee had an ID of French citizenship, Islamic literature, a local map, and camouflage, that he wore under civilian clothes.
According to Georgian mass media, the suspect, Khalid by name, is of Moroccan extraction.
