Around 5 people were killed and at least 10 injured when a US missile struck a bus in Syria. The bus was traveling close to the Syrian border with Iraq.
The report, which was first broadcast by Syrian radio, was confirmed today by the Syrian government. No other details were given. According to the British Sky television channel, the missile was launched by mistake. The anti-Saddam coalition's command has not yet issued any comment on the accident.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
