According to the Security Council of Chechnya, members of illegal armed formations have become more active recently, Secretary of the Security Council disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent Rudnik Dudayev.
"Before the referendum on the Chechen Constitution we witnessed a low activity on the part of terrorist armed formations, yet recently they have been blowing up federal troops' armoured vehicles and attacking military servicemen, policemen and state officials more often," Dudayev said.
Among the active terrorists he named the armed formation of Abu al-Valid. "This terrorist formation is not subordinated to Maskhadov and fights only for financial fees," he explained.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
