Vladimir Putin has congratulated the Orthodox Russians as well as other Christian confessions' followers on Christmas (it is marked on January 7, according to the Orthodox calendar).
The head of state's press service informed RIA Novosti that the president's address read in particular:
"I cordially congratulate the Orthodox Russians and the followers of other Christian confessions of the Russian Federation on Christmas!" This holiday always brings peace, love, good and hope to the homes of millions of people. It consolidates the foundations of our society's morality, preserves the Russian citizens' urge for unity and concord. And the activity of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as of religious organizations of this country's other traditional Christian confessions, is of vital importance in consolidating the high spiritual values.
With all my heart I wish the Orthodox Russians and everyone who celebrates the Nativity to be sound, happy, and prosperous."
After it turned out that Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov included the Fonbet betting company in the list of backbone enterprises that can count on state support, everyone started talking about these bookmakers.
