Russia's presence on US energy market to expand

At yesterday's negotiations in Moscow, Russian Energy Minister Igor Yusufov and US Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham discussed the possibility of expanding Russia's presence on the US energy market. The Russian senior official released this information at a briefing in the House of Government today. At the same time, he pointed out that Russia was interested in supplying oil to the USA, as the USA was the major oil importer.

Additionally, the participants of the negotiations exchanged opinions on the situation on world markets of energy resources; for example, they discussed the results of a meeting of the OPEC member countries, which had taken place on March 11. The top officials also exchanged opinions on the further promotion of the bilateral Russian-US energy dialog.
