Russia and Italy are going to create bilateral working groups to elaborate on agreements concerning tourism, agriculture, aircraft and space cooperation. This information was reported by Gennady Yezhov, the press secretary of Russia's Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin, after the sixth meeting of the Russian-Italian council for economic, currency and financial cooperation today. Participants of the meeting praised progress in the implementation of the largest joint project between Russia and Italy, the Blue Stream project. In addition, they stated the positive results of cooperation in energy, space and aircraft industries, in small and medium-seized businesses, transport and banking sectors. Russian officials stressed that the upcoming enlargement of the EU should not infringe trade and economic relations between Russia and new members of the EU. In their turn, Italian guests supported Russia's entering the World Trade Organization.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
