A grenade exploded in a courtyard of the Australian International School in Jakarta around 8:50 PM last night. The school's principal, Penny Robertson is quoted as saying there were no injuries. Miss Robertson also said the blast had put a hole in a concrete wall and taken out some windows. Apparently unknown attackers hurled the device over the fence of the back of a motorbike. The explosion was the first security incident at the school since the US began its bombing campaign in Afghanistan last month. The school is expected to remain open while the Indonesian police continue their investigations. Up to 20% of the school's students are Indonesian.
