The meeting will for the first time take place in a broader format. Apart from the plenipotentiaries proper, it is to be attended by federal inspectors representing plenipotentiaries in conventional administrative districts and officers of the President’s territorial department. The meeting participants are expected to sum up the results of their work and to discuss future tasks. According to Itar-TASS, no documents, including presidential directives, are to be issues after the meeting. However, President Putin is believed to sign a decree introducing some changes and additions to the “Statute of the plenipotentiary of the president of the Russian Federation to a federal district.” Officials at the presidential administration emphasize that the decree will perpetuate the already existing practice.
