Chechen guerillas still cross Russian-Georgian border

Introduction of the visa regulations between Russia and Georgia didn't stop Chechen guerillas from crossing the Russian-Georgian border, as Director of the Federal Border Guard Service of Russia Konstantin Totskiy stated at yesterday's briefing in Moscow. According to his words, the major problem is the absence of a database with information about rebels, RBC announces. "From the legal point of view guerillas cross the border as usual citizens since they possess valid passports," noted Totskiy. At the same time he noted that the introduction of the visa regulations significantly reduced illegal migration. In addition, Totskiy said that the situation on the border remained complex mostly due to the unfavorable weather condition.
