15 British paratroopers who contracted malaria during a mission in Sierra-Leone have filed a court suit against the Defence Ministry. They claim damages for their deteriorating health condition. The ministry is reported to have only agreed to pay damages to one of the claimants who had not been timely vaccinated. As for the remaining 14, they, as the ministry contends, had properly and timely been vaccinated. All the 15 currently do their service “in an eased manner and shall not take part in combat missions since they may suffer a relapse any time, RIA Novosti reports citing British media.
