A two-day seminar on the subject How to Do Business in the Pskov Region (a north-western region of Russia which adjoins Estonia) is beginning its work at the Estonian towns of Vyru and Tartu. The seminar is organised by the administration of the Pskov Region headed by Vice-Governor Vladimir Blank. The main purpose of the event is to continue mutually advantageous cooperation between Estonia and the Pskov Region and to step up contacts between Estonian and Pskov businessmen, as well as representatives of the local self-government bodies. The discussion of a joint project to establish in the Estonian and Pskov border areas a so-called Euroregion aimed at supporting small and medium-size business will also be continued at the seminar, Vladimir Blank said. Besides, the seminar can remove some problems in international trade relating to obtainment by Estonian businessmen of information on accounting, taxation and customs rules in Russia, he added. Blank recalled that currently the structure of the foreign investments coming to the Region boils down mainly to capital investments by small enterprises of Estonia and Latvia. "In particular, last year Latvia set up 22 enterprises in the Pskov Region, and Estonia - 8 but the Estonians really invested 6.5 million US dollars in the Region's economy, while the Letts - only about one million", the vice-governor noted.
To understand how China will act, one must understand the logic of China's development. This logic has always been almost the same, be it the Middle Ages, or modern times
