It is necessary to set for the production of knowledge-intensive and high effective products in the military industrial complex /MIC/, Russian Security Council Secretary Vladimir Rushailo disclosed this on Friday in Kazan /the capital of Tatarstan, a republic on the Volga river/ at a meeting discussing issues of the MIC development. According to Rushailo, on the one hand the state property is a powerful lever of the MIC activities control on the part of the government. On the other hand, the government is faced with a task to receive incomes, coming from the activities of the MIC enterprises. Vladimir Rushailo also touched upon the problem of the deterioration of the main funds of the MIC enterprises and stressed that the problem effected the quality and competitiveness of the goods produced. Rushailo underlined the importance to raise the prestige of the MIC and science workers, particularly, to raise their wages. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev is also participating in the meeting.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
