The Ural region of Sverdlovsk has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian province of Piemont.
On behalf of the Sverdlovsk regional administration the document was signed by first vice-premier Veniamin Golubitsky, and of the Piemont government by first vice-governor Gilberto Picchetto Franti, the information office of the Sverdlovsk regional governor reported on Tuesday.
Cooperation priorities are metals, engineering, construction, light and wood-working industries, farming, communal services, and banking.
Before long a joint working group to implement the deal will be formed.
Franti said at a signing ceremony that the common objective of the Russian and Italian regions is "direct trade and cooperation, as well as joint ventures in different branches of the economy".
After it turned out that Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov included the Fonbet betting company in the list of backbone enterprises that can count on state support, everyone started talking about these bookmakers.
