On Thursday, following negotiations with his Romanian counterpart Adrian Nastase Russian prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov said that Russia was not quite satisfied with the structure of its trade turnover with Romania.
According to him, the current trade turnover between the two countries is stable but the structure of Russian exports was monotonous and based on raw materials. As far as imports of Romanian-made goods are concerned they are significantly less than Russian exports.
A "huge imbalance though in favour of Russia is observed." At the same time, dialogue between Russia and Romania has become more stable of late, he noted. In particular, Russian enterprises in Romania are now enjoying significant benefits.
As of today, 4 large Russian companies possess major industrial assets in Romania. Products manufactured by them will be exported into third world countries and Russia.
