Over the past 1.5 months the passenger traffic on the Aeroflot Russian Airlines flights to South-East Asia has decreased by 36 per cent. This slump is due to a fallen demand for airplane tickets in this direction, said the company's deputy director general Lev Koshlyakov at a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday. "Passengers stopped buying tickets because of the threat of the SARS virus," he explained.
At present the airline is not suffering any damage, as the flights removed from the schedule are being sent along other routes, Koshlyakov said. "We are cutting down the number of flights and replacing the planes with less capacious ones, but we do not intend to cancel them all," he pointed out.
The number of weekly flights to Beijing has been cut from seven to four, Koshlyakov said. "We intend to cut the weekly flights to Shanghai from four to two or three, to Hong Kong from five to three or four," he concluded.
Is the world going to eyewitness a revolution in the United States that would be similar to Maidan riots in Ukraine? What is going to happen to the USA as a result of the presidential election? Is the army going to take part in the riots if they spark?
