Russia has increased its oil product exports by 7 percent to 16.939m tons worth $3.484bn in the first quarter of 2003, compared to the corresponding period of 2002, the State Customs Committee reported. Some 16.427m tons of oil products totaling $3.389bn were exported outside the CIS and 512,600 tons worth $97.2m were exported to the CIS.
Gasoline exports in the reported period were 1.034m tons worth $242.9m, including 917,500 tons worth $224.3m outside the CIS, which was a 48 percent increase.
Diesel fuel exports were 7.537m tons totaling $1.875bn in the first three months of 2003. Furnace oil exports amounted to 6.596m tons worth $918.8m in the reported period.
