Siberia correspondent Sergei Ivanov - The Fifth International Exhibition of Military Equipment, Technologies and Armaments of the Land Forces opens in Omsk on Tuesday, June 3.
As the press service of the administration of the Omsk Region reported, 175 enterprises and firms from the Russian Federatio and form former Soviet republics will take part in the exhibition. Apart from that, it is expected that foreign representatives from 29 countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, German, Greece, Denmark, Iran, Mexico, Mongolia, the Netherlands, France and the USA, will arrive in Omsk.
In the area of 1,500 square metres there will be displayed military equipment and civil and conversion products. In an open area (1,000 square metres) 54 samples of heavy military equipment will be displayed - 30 of them will be shown in action.
On June 4 the exhibition will be aired on television to 29 countries through the Yamal-100 transmitting satellite.
For the time being, one needs to finish the construction of the section that is 100 kilometres long. On October 17, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said in an interview with RND that the project would be completed
