The first Russian oil and gas congress will open in Moscow today. The congress will be held simultaneously with the seventh oil and gas exhibition "Oil and Gas 2003". The congress will include meetings devoted to tendencies of and outlooks for the Russian oil and gas sector, investment attractiveness of the domestic fuel and energy sector, the development of the Russian service industry and other issues.
Among participants of the first oil and gas congress will be Deputy Energy Minister Vladimir Staneyev, Deputy Anti-Monopoly Minister Anatoly Golomolzin and Deputy Economy Minister Andrey Sharonov together with representatives of the EBRD, Transneft, Gazprom, TNK, Chevron Texaco and other oil and gas companies.
