A powerful explosion took place in the city of Mozdok (North Osetia, not far from Chechnya) at about 7:00 p.m. Moscow time. A yellow cloud of dust and smoke went up in the area of the military hospital near the railway station, RIA Novosti correspondent reported from the site of the incident. ER vehicles are coming to the occurrence location.
The information about the explosion is rather contradictory. According to the Interior Ministry of the republic, the "blast destroyed the military hospital that is situated on the outskirts of Mozdok." The explosion did not lead to a "serious destruction," a spokesman for North Osetia's EMERCOM said. According to preliminary information, there are victims as a result of the blast at the military hospital. NTV television network reported, the bomb blew up in a car that was parked near the hospital.
