The head of the Russian Catholics, Monsignor Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, supposes that the beatification process of John Paul II will be soon started.
According to Mgr. Tadeusz, the minimal requirement for one's canonization is the fact of one's veneration. "The people should speak of him as a saint", specified Kondrusiewicz. "A miracle is necessary for proclaiming a person blessed". The next step in beatification process implies studying deeds of a venerated person by a special commission.
