The festival of modern youth culture "Enthusiasm" opens in the Russian Science and Culture House in Berlin.
House director Anatoly Bogushevsky said the festival would last till February 12. Its programme includes, in particular, the show of the works of young Russian cinema producers, meetings with the films' authors, as well as the round table discussion "Prospects For Cooperation Of Young Politicians and Cultural Workers of Russia and Germany in the 21st Century." The festival will take place within the framework of the "Russian-German Cultural Meetings In 2003-2004." The photo exhibition "The Red Square. The 20th Century" opened on Sunday in Russian Science and Culture House on Friedrichstrasse, Berlin, to show the works of the best Russian photographers.
In addition a concert was organised of the well-known quartet "The Moscow Balalaika" which won prizes of various all-Russian and international competitions.
Organising of cultural functions during the "Year of Russian Culture in Germany", which will include in particular the ballet and drama performances, and holding meetings with the Russian actors within the framework of a traditional "Theatrical Parlour" will be continued in the coming months, Anatoly Bogushevsky stressed.
