An action in support of military journalist Grigory Pasko was conducted in Vladivostok today. Representatives of mass media sources, political parties and public organizations participated in the picket near the building of the Federal Security Service of the Primorye region. The reason why not many people participated in the action is because the Mayor of Vladivostok laid a ban on it. Participants of the meeting want the verdict of the Pacific Fleet's court regarding the military journalist to be cancelled. According to earlier reports, Pasko was sentenced to four years of imprisonment for espionage.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
