Vladimir Putin has signed a decree giving a number of federal target programmes the presidential status. At a traditional Monday conference with Cabinet members in the Kremlin the president cited the programmes "disabled children", "gifted children" and "on measures to reduce homelessness among children and violations of law by minors" among the programmes which have been given the status of presidential. According to the head of state, the decree was signed on the basis of materials drafted by the government. Putin also asked the government to submit its considerations on implementing the above-said programmes.
