Thierry Henry, FC Barcelona striker and his English wife were divorced Monday after four years of marriage.
The 30-year-old Henry and Claire Merry, a 27-year-old former model, were granted a "quickie divorce' by a judge at London's High Court Family Division. No details of any settlement were disclosed.
Neither was present at the hearing.
According to court papers, Merry was granted the divorce on grounds of Henry's "unreasonable behavior."
Henry announced he was splitting with Merry soon after he moved from Premier League club Arsenal to Barcelona in June. Henry had been at Arsenal since 1999.
The couple met when they starred together in British television ads for Renault Clio cars. They have a 2-year-old daughter, Tea. According to the court papers, they are contesting the custody arrangements for their child.
