Russia seeks dynamic cooperation with the Association of Caribbean States, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out in a message of greetings to the participants in a regional summit meeting. According to the Kremlin press service, in his message the Russian President underscored the importance of a meaningful dialogue for the elaboration of specific forms of cooperation that would be of mutual interest to Russia and the Caribbean countries. In this connection, Mr. Putin suggested holding a meeting of experts from the countries concerned. He pointed out that being an observer with the Association, Russia closely follows its activity, aimed at increasing the clout of the Caribbean countries in international and regional processes. Russia welcomes the Association's coordinated stance on major problems of the modern-day world and its eagerness to work hand in hand to be able to meet new challenges and build more democratic relations between nations, the Russian President said in his statement.
