Macedonia has purchased two more Mi-24-K combat helicopters from Ukraine. According to Macedonian press reports citing the Defence Ministry, the helicopters have already arrived at Skopje airport and are in a combat-ready state. They can be used to provide air support for troops, conduct aerial reconnaissance, and guide ground-based weapons onto targets. Ukraine is now receiving a military delegation from Macedonia, headed by the chief of the General Staff. Macedonian newspapers said the delegation is holding active negotiations with Ukraine to buy four more combat helicopters for the armed forces and the Interior Ministry. At present, Macedonia has 23 combat helicopters. All of them were purchased in Ukraine.
