The Council of heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will consider at its session on November 29 in Moscow the draft report "The Results of the CIS Activity Over the Past Ten Years and Tasks for the Future" as well the urgent issues of inter-state cooperation. There are 20 questions on the agenda of the session. They include the consolidated information about the main directions of the work for lifting restrictions in mutual trade; the convention on international mortgage transactions in CIS countries; the procedure of organising collaboration in liquidating the consequences of emergency situations of the natural and technogenic character; epizootic situation concerning foot-and-mouth disease and measures to prevent it; an inter-state programme of creating a network of information-marketing centres for accelerating the delivery of goods and services to the national markets of the CIS countries. This package of questions has been submitted to the consideration of the Council by the CIS Economic Council. Among the issues submitted for consideration by the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers are the following: the draft decision on preparing for celebrations of the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945; the draft protocol of the organisation and holding of joint anti-terror events on the territories of CIS member countries. Among other documents there are the programme of cooperation in the cultural field till the year 2005; an agreement on the coordination of works in the field of licensing the educational activity; and the inter-state programme of forming the common educational space for the CIS countries. The Council will also make a decision on holding the 2002 International Junior Sports Games of CIS countries in Moscow.
