Russia and the US are "step by step drawing nearer" in the issue of working out an agreement on strategic nuclear weapons cuts and a new framework of the two countries' relations, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin. He commented on the Russian-American consultations on these issues currently underway in Moscow, with Undersecretary of State John Bolton and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Mamedov participating. "We are drawing nearer, the things are developing, though often with tensions and complications," Loshchinin said. According to him, "two or three unresolved problems of principal importance remain unsolved."
