Granting Moldova an observer status is to be reviewed by the inter-state presidential council of the Euro-Asian Economic Community (EAEC) at its next session in Moscow on May 13. On the agenda of the supreme authority of this new international economic organization is a wide range of questions concerning closer integration of the participating states-Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The sides are to touch upon progress in developing the institutional and legal basis for EAEC activities and a mechanism of protecting the domestic markets without using any special protectionist, anti-dumping and compensatory measures in mutual trade. Besides, the EAEC inter-state council will pay attention to a more perfected mechanism of inter-state interaction when joining the World Trade Organization and tackle draft fundamentals of EAEC frontier policy as well as a number of other documents connected with integrational processes in the Euro-Asian environment. A session of the EAEC inter-state council at the level of the presidents of the participating countries is held once a year.
